Concert Bands
Concert Band
The Concert Band is an instrumental music class that focuses on developing a student’s skills that will prepare them for grades 2 & 3 music. This class is open to all grades. Although prior playing experience is required, no audition is required to enroll in this class.

Instruments include: Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophones (Alto, Tenor and Bari), French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba
Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is an intermediate level instrumental music class that focuses on developing a student’s skills that will prepare them for grades 3 & 4 music. Instrumentation is the same as the Concert Band class. This class is open to all grades and an audition is required. Upon the completion of the audition process, students will automatically be placed in the correct band class prior to the start the upcoming school year. Students who are not placed in this class will automatically be placed in the Concert Band Class.

Wind Ensemble
The Wind Ensemble class is an advanced level instrumental music class that focuses on developing a student’s skills that will prepare them for grades 4-6 music. It may include all wind and percussion (non-drum line) instruments. This class is open to all grades and an audition is required. Upon the completion of the audition process, students will automatically be placed in the correct band class prior to the start the upcoming school year. Students who are not placed in this class will automatically be placed in either the Concert or Symphonic Band Class.

Instrumentation includes all instruments listed in the Concert Band section, plus instruments from the “Front Ensemble” section.
Front Ensemble
This class is open to all grades and an audition is required. Students who are not selected will be presented with other performance options.

Instruments include: Keyboards (Marimba, Xylophone, Bells, Vibraphone), Piano, Concert Snare Drum, Concert Bass Drum, Crash Cymbals, Timpani, Concert Toms and various other concert percussion instruments.
Symphonic Band/Percussion (Drum Line)
The Symphonic Band/Percussion class is solely dedicated to students who wish to be on the drumline. This class is open to all grades and an audition is required. Students who are not selected will be presented with other performance options.
